The perfect look for your boudoir photo session.
We might not immediately associate styling with the word 'boudoir.' However, it is a wonderfully creative way of projecting your individuality into the photos and ensuring your comfort during the photoshoot.
For your inspiration I have listed below some of the most iconic wardrobe items for a boudoir photoshoot.
Stockings and tights. The top erotic symbols on our list. They complement any look. You can be fully dressed, yet a glimpse of a garter from your stocking is enough to immerse you in the sensual allure of a mysterious scenario.
High heels. Christian Louboutin believes, “A good shoe is one that doesn't dress you, but undresses you.” Indeed, in a photo, a pair of high heals remarkably accentuate the silhouette.
Chiffon blouses and dresses. The transparency of these garments will intrigue and excite the imagination. At the same time, if you feel a little shy and prefer not to be naked in front of the camera, they can serve as a sensuous veil.
Sunglasses. This accessory possesses an enigmatic quality, making you think of an outstanding superstars. Chic and impregnable.
Silk and lace. An exquisite choice for a boudoir shoot. I would recommend pastel shades, black, burgundy and red. Try to choose lingerie without excessive decoration to ensure the focus remains on you.
Corset. Perhaps one of the most appealing ways to accentuate the alluring female form. It's up to you to decide on its style—delicate nude shades, Marie Antoinette's lace accessory, or leather and latex.
Pearls, gems and statement jewelery. Boudoir photography is a celebration of your femininity. Sometimes, a small detail like a delicate gold bracelet or barely noticeable pearl earrings complete the look and emphasise an elegant sophistication.
Manicure/ Pedicure. It's amazing how this detail can boost a woman's self-confidence! The impact of red nails is hard to overestimate; it's a true 'femme fatale' signature.
Review your wardrobe once more. Bring to the photoshoot the pieces that you feel particularly drawn to, even if it's a cashmere sweater. Alternatively, perhaps it's time to treat yourself to a new purchase that will continue to bring you joy long after our boudoir photoshoot.
